Installation Guide
⚠️ Safety first: turn off power at the circuit breaker — not just the wall switch — before any work. If you are not confident working with household wiring, hire a licensed electrician. Improper installation can void your warranty.
Before you start
- Check the mounting point. The ceiling junction box must be rated for ceiling fan support (fan-rated box, supporting at least 50 lb / 23 kg). A standard light-fixture box is not sufficient.
- Check clearances. Blades must be at least 7 ft (2.1 m) above the floor and at least 18 in (45 cm) from the nearest wall or obstruction.
- Check the voltage. Confirm the voltage marked on your fan matches your household supply before wiring.
- Tools needed: screwdriver, wire strippers, voltage tester, ladder, and a helper for lifting the motor assembly.
Installation steps
- Turn off power at the breaker and verify with a voltage tester.
- Install the mounting bracket onto the fan-rated junction box using the supplied screws.
- Attach the downrod to the motor housing, feed the wires through, and secure the locking pin and set screws. (Select the shorter or longer downrod depending on your ceiling height — see the Size Guide.)
- Hang the motor assembly on the mounting bracket hook so both hands are free for wiring.
- Connect the wiring: match live, neutral, and ground wires per the wiring diagram in your manual, secure with the supplied connectors, and tuck them neatly into the box.
- Fix the canopy over the bracket and tighten the screws.
- Attach the blades, tightening every screw fully — loose blade screws are the most common cause of wobble.
- Install the light kit (if included) and its cover.
- Restore power and pair the remote following the pairing instructions in the manual (typically: power on, then hold the pairing button within 30 seconds).
Sloped or vaulted ceilings
Use the angled mounting adapter (included or available on request) for pitched ceilings. For steep pitches, a longer downrod maintains blade clearance — contact us with your ceiling angle and we'll recommend the right setup.
Troubleshooting
- Wobble: re-tighten all blade and bracket screws; check that all blades sit at the same height.
- Clicking noise: usually a loose light-kit cover or blade screw.
- Remote not responding: re-pair the remote and check its battery.
